2 hours · Live guide · Rubens's story at his house · ★5.0 from 34 reviews
This is the walking tour we'd pair with a Rubens House visit. It starts at Koningin Astridplein, by Antwerp-Central station, and works its way west to the heart of the city in two hours.
On the route: the station itself, the entrance of the zoo, the Diamond District, Chinatown, a chocolate shop and the Meir, Belgium's biggest shopping street. Then the Rubens House, where your guide tells the story of the painter, and the old Stock Exchange and the Boerentoren, Europe's first skyscraper.
Entry to museums and paid buildings is not included, so book your Rubens House time slot for after the walk.
A small number of reviews so far, all five stars. It is a walk past the house rather than a visit inside, which during the restoration isn't a big loss: you get the story, then see the Rubens Experience and the garden on your own.

You're new to Antwerp and want the city and Rubens explained in one compact walk before visiting the house.
You want to see Rubens's paintings: add the KMSKA ticket, as this tour doesn't enter museums.
